Jessica CHEUNG dancer
Graduated in 2012 from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with BFA in dance, majoring in Contemporary Dance. Jessica was awarded the scholarship of outstanding dancer of Contemporary Dance in school. She was also awarded the American Dance Festival scholarship to further study in United States. She has toured under the Van Huynh Company (London) with the dance pieces “Black Square” to perform in the 7th Busan International Dance Festival and the “Art&Faith” Singapore Fringe Festival’12, as well as “Now illuminated” to perform in the International Festival of Dance Academy. In 2013, she was awarded scholarship from “Dancewoods” to participant in its festival and perform her solo piece ‘Scent’ in Modena, Italy. Jessica Cheung is one of the founder of the Four Degrees Dance Laboratory, a space that gather young artists to explore arts. The company produced its art piece ‘Tringer’. From this topic, it has slowly develop into a series of art works in different space, with different people, in different form. The company has been working with other art medias such as fashion, music and installation where artists in different genres collaborate and share experience. For her commercial appearance, she has also danced with Hong Kong singers such as Alfred Hui, Candy Lo, Lam Fung, Sherman Chung, Shirley Kwan and Taiwan singer Jody Chiang.
